Tudor Mihăilă charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tudor Mihăilă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mircea Drăghici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 6th match minute, F.C.NAZNACHENIYA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Moldovan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Lăzărescu in the 9th minute of play forced Varleni's goalkeeper Costel Negruț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C.NAZNACHENIYA's Octavian Codin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save F.C.NAZNACHENIYA from getting a goal against them. Daniel Boc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 15 minutes of play, Varleni's Albert Ciuvică made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Codin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosmin Negulescu during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th match minute, F.C.NAZNACHENIYA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Negulescu to maneuver through the defense. If Marian Blidaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Moldovan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.NAZNACHENIYA's zone, Albert Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Codin came out of the goal and Albert Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to F.C.NAZNACHENIYA getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Eduard Moldovan hit a great ball. Daniel Boc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Codin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Daniel Boc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varleni's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Boc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Codin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Boc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Codin having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Ciuvică to make the kick off. Marian Blidaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Varleni's Costel Negruț got control of the ball when Tudor Mihăilă tried to sneak it across the goal line. Varleni's Costel Negruț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Ionășescu in the 59th minute of play. Daniel Boc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Octavian Codin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marian Blidaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marian Blidaru took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavian Codin. Octavian Codin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Daniel Boc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Malcoci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Codin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Daniel Boc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Varleni's supporters rose to their feet, but Gigel Răchită was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Codin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costel Negruț made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tudor Mihăilă in the 87th minute. Marian Blidaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.NAZNACHENIYA's zone, Daniel Boc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Codin came out of the goal and Daniel Boc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albert Ciuvică struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Octavian Codin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varleni. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Varleni had played much better football throughout.
