Chelsea din Banat's Cătălin Dragotescu got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu got control of the ball when Pompiliu Burdea tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cătălin Dragotescu in the 28th minute of play. When Pompiliu Burdea came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Chelsea din Banat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pompiliu Burdea couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute Laurențiu Dejeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Zdrăilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gigi Zbârnea fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Red Team's protests and gave Gigi Zbârnea a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Red Team getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Gigi Zbârnea hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Red Team's zone, Cătălin Dragotescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorel Dichiseanu came out of the goal and Cătălin Dragotescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Red Team's Dorel Dichiseanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Red Team from getting a goal against them. When Iosif Enache came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Red Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iosif Enache couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cătălin Dragotescu to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Călin Apetroaiei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Red Team and the Chelsea din Banat players grew even worse after the yellow card. Călin Apetroaiei kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Pompiliu Burdea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorel Dichiseanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes FC Red Team got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Panaitoiu. Pompiliu Burdea might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorel Dichiseanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pompiliu Burdea ran back to his position shaking his head. Laurențiu Dejeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Zdrăilă having to interfere. Narcis Zdrăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurențiu Dejeu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Iosif Enache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narcis Zdrăilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Iosif Enache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurențiu Dejeu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 94th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The FC Red Team players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Chelsea din Banat from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
