In the 9th minute, Doru Panescu fired a really elegant long shot, but Dorel Dichiseanu threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Iosif Enache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Spirea having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Baia Mare defense, Laurențiu Dejeu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cosmin Spirea. The FC Baia Mare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cosmin Spirea should have stopped the shot. Gabriel Udrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dorel Dichiseanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, FC Red Team's Iosif Enache made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cosmin Spirea was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the match, FC Red Team's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Diaconu came free, but Dorel Dichiseanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Valeriu Vişoiu had to leave the field with a concussion. After 30 minutes, Vali Bărnuțiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Baia Mare and the FC Red Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Baia Mare's Vali Bărnuțiu got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 35th match minute, FC Baia Mare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nichifor Gugea to maneuver through the defense. Eduard Diaconu struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Laurențiu Dejeu's late challenge caught a FC Baia Mare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurențiu Dejeu helped the player get up and apologised. Laurențiu Dejeu kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Doru Panescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorel Dichiseanu skillfully saved the ball. The FC Baia Mare players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Red Team were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iosif Enache made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Gabriel Udrea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dorel Dichiseanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iosif Enache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Spirea having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Udrea in the 64th minute of play forced FC Red Team's goalkeeper Dorel Dichiseanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Red Team's Iosif Enache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cosmin Spirea. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. Dorel Dichiseanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Udrea in the 76th minute of play. Gabriel Udrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute of the match Vali Pancu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dorel Dichiseanu skillfully saved the ball. After 83 played minutes FC Red Team got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Panaitoiu. Gabriel Udrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dorel Dichiseanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduard Diaconu went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. When Eduard Diaconu came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the FC Baia Mare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduard Diaconu couldn't finish the play. Laurențiu Panaitoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laurențiu Panaitoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Baia Mare booed when FC Red Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Panaitoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When FC Baia Mare's Gabriel Udrea in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Red Team's goalie prevented a goal.
