The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Costel Deșliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Codrescu in the 3rd minute of the match. Ernest Miclea hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, Pecsetszeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Lăzăroiu to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute Marius Codrescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costel Deșliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Valer Berceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Marius Codrescu notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Pecsetszeg's Costel Deșliu. Costel Deșliu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the game, Akarat F.C.'s Valer Berceanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costel Deșliu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 33rd minute, Marius Codrescu made a precise shot to the right of Costel Deșliu. Pecsetszeg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Marius Codrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Costel Deșliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Codrescu in the 47th minute of play forced Pecsetszeg's goalkeeper Costel Deșliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Costel Deșliu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marius Codrescu went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Marius Codrescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Costel Deșliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Ciprian Iosub shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliodor Udrescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Akarat F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Epure came free, but Eliodor Udrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Akarat F.C.'s Eric Mușetescu got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Marius Codrescu had several of the Pecsetszeg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 74 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Costel Deșliu as he didn't even see the shot coming. Costel Deșliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valer Berceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Cosmin Chircu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Eliodor Udrescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marius Codrescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costel Deșliu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marius Codrescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Tudor Hănescu kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Akarat F.C. booed when Pecsetszeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciprian Iosub didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marius Codrescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Akarat F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
