Rareș Panescu's late challenge caught a f.c. bacau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rareș Panescu helped the player get up and apologised. Rareș Panescu hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Cristinel Arsene hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Alexandru Gurgui fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored f.c. bacau's protests and gave Alexandru Gurgui a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, f.c. bacau's Alexandru Gurgui got a free kick in the 16th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Manole Maghiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.AVANTUL REGHIN's supporters rose to their feet, but Manole Maghiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gică Moga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute Teodor Mazilu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Comăneci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C.AVANTUL REGHIN's Octavian Comăneci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petrică Bâru in the 25th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Petrică Bâru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Comăneci was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. A collision led to f.c. bacau getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Avram Odobescu hit a great ball. Gică Moga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gheorghe Hăvârneanu. 36 minutes into the game, Manole Maghiar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gică Moga. Manole Maghiar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Octav Baldovin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. F.C.AVANTUL REGHIN's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Avram Odobescu fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored f.c. bacau's protests and gave Avram Odobescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes f.c. bacau got a freekick which was hit by Avram Odobescu. After a defensive mix-up in f.c. bacau's zone, Manole Maghiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gică Moga came out of the goal and Manole Maghiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Baldovin in the 44th minute of play forced f.c. bacau's goalkeeper Gică Moga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ioan Bocșa kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octav Baldovin was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Baldovin in the 55th minute of play forced f.c. bacau's goalkeeper Gică Moga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Octav Baldovin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Manole Maghiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. f.c. bacau's Gică Moga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Baldovin in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Octav Baldovin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gică Moga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 65 played minutes F.C.AVANTUL REGHIN got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Perșa. Teodor Mazilu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Baldovin in the 73rd minute of play forced f.c. bacau's goalkeeper Gică Moga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teodor Mazilu struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Octavian Comăneci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for f.c. bacau. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Bâru got free with Octavian Comăneci in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Teodor Mazilu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petrică Bâru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Comăneci having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Maghiar in the 86th minute of play forced f.c. bacau's goalkeeper Gică Moga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Bâru got free with Octavian Comăneci in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octavian Comăneci made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Cristinel Arsene sent off a good shot on target. Octav Baldovin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Gică Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodor Mazilu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the f.c. bacau players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C.AVANTUL REGHIN.
