Ernest Dincă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costin Lung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Petre David tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Costin Lung came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Agronomul-BTF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Costin Lung couldn't finish the play. Costin Lung struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Petre David didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agronomul-BTF. 35 minutes into the match, Agronomul-BTF's Ioan Caragea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petre David narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 51 played minutes Alexandra cr got a freekick which was hit by Costel Tarchilă. Costin Lung received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petre David came out and tried to block the shot, but Costin Lung slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. Ionel Fințescu's late challenge caught a Agronomul-BTF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manole Dobrica's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre David read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. One of Alexandra cr:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Agronomul-BTF:s goal. The referee gave Agronomul-BTF a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Laurențiu Bucuță, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alexandra cr's Petre David. 1-3. Agronomul-BTF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
