Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5666, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viorel Rânceanu kicked off to start the match. Giuresti's Mihăiţă Vladimirescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Giuresti from getting a goal against them. Mihăiţă Vladimirescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nichifor Petru in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, FC arges's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Lalescu came free, but Cătălin Bran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Zgîrţa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 played minutes Giuresti got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Rânceanu. In the 32nd minute Cristian Zgîrţa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihăiţă Vladimirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Giuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Rânceanu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Giuresti's Mihăiţă Vladimirescu got control of the ball when Nichifor Petru tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Giuresti's zone, Cristian Zgîrţa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihăiţă Vladimirescu came out of the goal and Cristian Zgîrţa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihăiţă Vladimirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Zgîrţa in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Zgîrţa in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihăiţă Vladimirescu saved Giuresti from getting behind. Giuresti's Mihăiţă Vladimirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Zgîrţa in the 62nd minute of play. FC arges's Nichifor Petru got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mihăiţă Vladimirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Cioacă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Giuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Petru came free, but Mihăiţă Vladimirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Zgîrţa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through a series of nice moves, Giuresti's Ivan Lalescu on his own came free in the 75th minute of the match and shot 2-1 behind a disappointed Cătălin Bran. Mihăiţă Vladimirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Neaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Zgîrţa scored 3-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mihăiţă Vladimirescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Lalescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Bran having to interfere. Cristian Zgîrţa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC arges fully deserved thier win.
