In the 92nd match minute, FC National 1944 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niculae Râmniceanu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Balotă got free with Moise Drăgan in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over FC National 1944 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Suricarul throughout the match.
