Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Silviu Oproiu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelian Gherghescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marin Negrilă. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Varciorog's Marin Negrilă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Varciorog from getting a goal against them. Marin Negrilă was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurelian Gherghescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 10 minute of play. After 19 played minutes Varciorog got a freekick which was hit by Octav Toacsen. Ionel Encioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Negrilă having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Aurelian Gherghescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marin Negrilă. Aurelian Gherghescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Edgar Sima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marin Negrilă didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. If Aurelian Gherghescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Varciorog getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. George Corbea hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Aurelian Gherghescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelian Gherghescu to make the kick off. Marin Negrilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Gherghescu in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Octav Toacsen could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Gigi Cuculeanu however easily saved by the left post. In the 59thth minute of the game Aurelian Gherghescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varciorog's Marin Negrilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Irinel Negrițoiu in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marin Negrilă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelian Gherghescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Negrilă having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Aurelian Gherghescu made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Varciorog's Marin Negrilă tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 66 played minutes Cornurile UFC got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Fetea. Irinel Negrițoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Marin Negrilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Varciorog booed when Cornurile UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Sima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gigi Cuculeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octav Toacsen in the 72nd minute. The attack was good, but when Irinel Negrițoiu in the 75th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 78 minutes into the match, Varciorog's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Gherghescu came free, but Marin Negrilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurel Iovulescu's late challenge caught a Cornurile UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aurel Iovulescu helped the player get up and apologised. Aurel Iovulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Aurelian Gherghescu succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-0. Irinel Negrițoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 98 played minutes Varciorog got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Bulgar. When Aurelian Gherghescu came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Cornurile UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelian Gherghescu couldn't finish the play. Cornurile UFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
