Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Silviu Oproiu got the match started through his kick off. Marin Negrilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Dinculescu in the 3rd minute of the match. After 10 played minutes, Carasova's Robert Ghițulescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marin Negrilă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carasova reached it. After 11 played minutes Varciorog got a freekick which was hit by Ionuț Topală. In the 15th minute, Gigi Stamatiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Varciorog's zone, Avram Gliga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marin Negrilă came out of the goal and Avram Gliga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, George Corbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Varciorog's goalkeeper Marin Negrilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Avram Gliga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Varciorog! Varciorog:s Marin Negrilă showed great skill when he stopped Eduard Nisporeanu:s penalty. In the 29th minute, Avram Gliga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carasova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Avram Gliga was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Valer Oros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varciorog's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carasova the free kick. Valer Oros hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigi Stamatiu got free with Marin Negrilă in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Stamatius short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Marin Negrilă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adrian Sima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Oproiu in the 71st minute of the match. When Gavril Morozan fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carasova's protests and gave Gavril Morozan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute, Gavril Morozan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Varciorog's Horea Iorda tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Emanuel Băbescu's late challenge caught a Varciorog's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Băbescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Emanuel Băbescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Avram Gliga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Avram Gliga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carasova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avram Gliga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Varciorog's Marin Negrilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Gliga in the 92nd minute of play. Avram Gliga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Marin Negrilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
