Marin Negrilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Bulgar in the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of RealMadrid booed when Varciorog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurel Iovulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marin Negrilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes RealMadrid got a freekick which was hit by Petru Cangeopol. When Răzvan Bulgar came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the RealMadrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Bulgar couldn't finish the play. Ivan Vlaicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicodim Marchiș received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marin Negrilă came out and tried to block the shot, but Nicodim Marchiș slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Răzvan Bulgar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Petru Cangeopol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Varciorog's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Răzvan Bulgar 38 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Varciorog's zone, Răzvan Bulgar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marin Negrilă came out of the goal and Răzvan Bulgar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd play minute Petru Cangeopol came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marin Negrilă. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silviu Oproiu to make the kick off. If Nicodim Marchiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Petru Cangeopol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marin Negrilă. Varciorog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petru Cangeopol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ivan Vlaicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicodim Marchiș in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marin Negrilă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Răzvan Bulgar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ivan Vlaicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicodim Marchiș might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marin Negrilă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicodim Marchiș ran back to his position shaking his head. 68 minutes into the match, RealMadrid's Nicodim Marchiș sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marin Negrilă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Varciorog's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Cangeopol came free, but Marin Negrilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RealMadrid's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
