Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sabin Nechifor started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Horaţiu Ciompec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costică Gavrilescu in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute Ionel Albeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Ciompec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Costică Gavrilescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horaţiu Ciompec. Turmas AS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costică Gavrilescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 12 played minutes Espada got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Bociort. When Turmas AS's Ion Uncu in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Espada's goalie prevented a goal. Espada's Mugurel Graur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Uncu in the 15th minute of play. A hard shot by Călin Tobă from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Mugurel Graur's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mugurel Graur made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Narcis Prezan sent off a good shot on target. Horaţiu Ciompec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionel Albeanu in the 22nd minute of play. Turmas AS's Horaţiu Ciompec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Bociort in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Turmas AS got a freekick which was hit by Răzvan Lupescu. Horaţiu Ciompec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Albeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Uncu in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugurel Graur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Remus Brădescu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Horaţiu Ciompec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Albeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Horaţiu Ciompec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Gavrilescu in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Espada were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narcis Prezan made a kick off. Sabin Nechifor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Răzvan Lupescu fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Turmas AS's protests and gave Răzvan Lupescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Espada booed when Turmas AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Lupescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Turmas AS's goalkeeper Horaţiu Ciompec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costică Gavrilescu. Espada's Mugurel Graur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Uncu in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Ion Uncu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Graur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionel Albeanu's late challenge caught a Turmas AS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionel Albeanu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Espada's Ionel Albeanu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Mugurel Graur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Uncu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 71 played minutes Turmas AS got a freekick which was hit by Răzvan Lupescu. After a defensive mix-up in Turmas AS's zone, Costică Gavrilescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Ciompec came out of the goal and Costică Gavrilescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the game, Espada's Costică Gavrilescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horaţiu Ciompec made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 82nd match minute, Turmas AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Pipirig to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Răzvan Dărmănescu from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Horaţiu Ciompec's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 85 minutes of play, Espada's Costică Gavrilescu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horaţiu Ciompec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horaţiu Ciompec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Gavrilescu in the 90th minute. Espada's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
