Iacob Florean was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Idar Reistad in the 33rd minute of play forced Sat's goalkeeper Iacob Florean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Ivan Galtero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iacob Florean. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Mustea couldn't finish the play. Olimpiu Mustea took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iacob Florean. Iacob Florean dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Moldovan in the 48th minute of play forced Sat's goalkeeper Iacob Florean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Phoenix Strikers were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes in the game, Ivan Galtero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Iacob Florean having to interfere. With a little luck, Sat's Iacob Florean got control of the ball when Traian Moldovan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sat's zone, Ivan Galtero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iacob Florean came out of the goal and Ivan Galtero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Phoenix Strikers's Traian Moldovan got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iacob Florean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Galtero in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Moldovan in the 60th minute of play forced Sat's goalkeeper Iacob Florean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Eric Aanuţei sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iacob Florean skillfully saved the ball. After 63 played minutes Traian Moldovan rounded Sat's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-6. Phoenix Strikers made a substitution. Horaţiu Dinulescu replaced Mauricio Quentin. 71 minutes into the match, Sat's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Galtero came free, but Iacob Florean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed George Durbacă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sat's George Durbacă got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 80th minute, Mihăiţă Zăvoianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the game, Traian Moldovan lined in a short shot 0-8 behind a frustrated Iacob Florean. Iacob Florean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olimpiu Mustea in the 88th minute. The audience was convinced that Traian Moldovan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iacob Florean was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
