Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Espada's Sabin Nechifor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Liviu Gruescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mugurel Graur was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Vlad Fânaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionel Albeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Espada's goal looked a bit too open when Irinel Cozac came free, but Mugurel Graur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liviu Gruescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute Călin Boltașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Graur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Avantul Grindu's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Gavrilescu came free, but Vlad Fânaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute Călin Boltașu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Graur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iordache Bociort got free with Vlad Fânaru in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Iordache Bociort came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Espada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iordache Bociort couldn't finish the play. Irinel Cozac hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. If Costică Gavrilescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th match minute, Avantul Grindu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Cârnu to maneuver through the defense. Vlad Fânaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Nechifor in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Iordache Bociort could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Vlad Fânaru however easily saved by the left post. In the 38th minute Manuel Blajovici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugurel Graur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlad Fânaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costică Gavrilescu in the 42nd minute. Liviu Gruescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugurel Graur having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Espada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Alexandrescu to maneuver through the defense. When Irinel Cozac came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Avantul Grindu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Cozac couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Călin Boltașu to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Călin Boltașu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Liviu Gruescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espada's goalkeeper Mugurel Graur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57th match minute, Espada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Albeanu to maneuver through the defense. Călin Boltașu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liviu Gruescu in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mugurel Graur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Mihai Bianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Avantul Grindu's Liviu Vulturar got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After 74 minutes of play, Espada's Alexandru Bitănescu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Fânaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vlad Fânaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Gavrilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Avantul Grindu's Irinel Cozac got a free kick in the 80th minute. Espada's Alexandru Bitănescu pulled a muscle in his leg after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Marin Cârnu fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avantul Grindu's protests and gave Marin Cârnu a yellow card for diving instead. Marin Cârnu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Costică Gavrilescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Fânaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Blajovici kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Espada's zone, Manuel Blajovici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugurel Graur came out of the goal and Manuel Blajovici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 96 in the game by Liviu Gruescu from a close distance when the talented Mugurel Graur managed to make a qualified save. Espada's players were relieved.
