Spectators: 6510 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cezar Mustățea kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Avantul Grindu got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Blajovici. Petru Țepeluș's late challenge caught a Avantul Grindu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petru Țepeluș helped the player get up and apologised. Petru Țepeluș hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Mircea Mardarescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Călin Boltașu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Liviu Gruescu came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Avantul Grindu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liviu Gruescu couldn't finish the play. Liviu Gruescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mircea Mardarescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandu Berca in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlad Fânaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Basarab Şteţ hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Vlad Fânaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Țepeluș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Călin Boltașu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Mircea Mardarescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Nichifor Balint hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liviu Gruescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mircea Mardarescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Macai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Pascu to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute, Avantul Grindu's Liviu Gruescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mircea Mardarescu. Mircea Mardarescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Macai's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Călin Boltașu was slow to take the kick. During this time Avantul Grindu's players had a chance to rest. Liviu Gruescu made a great header on Avantul Grindu's corner, it was just that Macai's Mircea Mardarescu managed to reach the ball for a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Călin Boltașu to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezar Mustățea got free with Vlad Fânaru in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Avantul Grindu's Vlad Fânaru got control of the ball when Cezar Mustățea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vlad Fânaru made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Nichifor Balint sent off a good shot on target. Cezar Mustățea came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vlad Fânaru could save by the left post. Vlad Fânaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Berca in the 69th minute of play. Vlad Fânaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cezar Mustățea in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Macai's Petru Țepeluș slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vlad Fânaru. That made the score 1-1 after 74 minutes of play. If Călin Boltașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vali Ponta's late challenge caught a Macai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Ponta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Macai's Cezar Mustățea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Călin Boltașu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avantul Grindu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Călin Boltașu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nichifor Balint's late challenge caught a Avantul Grindu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nichifor Balint helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Macai's Nichifor Balint got a free kick in the 87th minute. Mircea Mardarescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Gruescu in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Cezar Mustățea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vlad Fânaru. Avantul Grindu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezar Mustățea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Macai had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
