FC Botosani's Aristide Bălașa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gavril Braniște in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristinel Savas short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Gavril Braniște to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 17th minute, FC Botosani's Remus Zbora ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavril Braniște. Gavril Braniște yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Dumitru Achiriloaie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavril Braniște took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Sava, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavril Braniște made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristide Bălașa in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Ivancauti got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Dogaru. In the 32ndth minute of the game Victor Homeag who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ivancauti's Gavril Braniște was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinu Lupulescu during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Ivancauti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinu Lupulescu to maneuver through the defense. Gavril Braniște showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Homeag in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Homeag kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gavril Braniște. That made the score 2-0 in the 42 minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ivancauti's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Sava came free, but Gavril Braniște reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Victor Homeag dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gavril Braniște, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Ivancauti's Gavril Braniște played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Sava in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Vasile Noica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Aristide Bălașa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavril Braniște skillfully saved the ball. In the 59th minute of the match Aristide Bălașa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavril Braniște showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Homeag in the 65th minute of play forced Ivancauti's goalkeeper Gavril Braniște to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ivancauti booed when FC Botosani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Măliță didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Botosani's Eduard Voina was substituted for Remus Zbora. After a rather tough play, Ivancauti's Corneliu Purcaru got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Gavril Braniște showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Achiriloaie, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Achiriloaie in the 75th minute of play forced Ivancauti's goalkeeper Gavril Braniște to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavril Braniște made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Botosani had played much better football throughout.
