Spectators: 7412 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) Andrei Bântu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Breazu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Sag fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Sag's Pompiliu Breazu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 22 minutes, Ionuț Vermeşan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sag and the Sarafinesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Sag was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionuț Vermeşan to maneuver through the defense. Sarafinesti's Toader Papadima shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dorin Zegreanu but with some difficulty. If Cristinel Buda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Moisil took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andrei Bântu. Andrei Bântu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 43 minutes into the match, Sag's goalkeeper Dorin Zegreanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costel Patriciu. Costel Patriciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Sag were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristinel Buda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cazimir Moisil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Andrei Bântu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game Pompiliu Breazu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarafinesti's Andrei Bântu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andrei Bântu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cazimir Moisil in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Pompiliu Breazu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrei Bântu. That made the score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. Cazimir Moisil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Andrei Bântu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Sag's Cazimir Moisil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andrei Bântu. That made the score 0-4 after 81 minutes of play. If Cazimir Moisil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrei Bântu made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cazimir Moisil sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Sarafinesti's zone, Pompiliu Breazu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Bântu came out of the goal and Pompiliu Breazu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
