Pompiliu Finteșteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Videanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Victor Lupoaia got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pompiliu Finteșteanu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Vintilă Aluculesei could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Pompiliu Finteșteanu however easily saved by the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Victor Lupoaia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pompiliu Finteșteanu, 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Codrin Videanu to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Codrin Videanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Pompiliu Finteșteanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pompiliu Finteșteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Aluculesei in the 58th minute of the match. Pompiliu Finteșteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Lupoaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Icing's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Lupoaia came free, but Pompiliu Finteșteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Vintilă Aluculesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Finteșteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Roşu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pompiliu Finteșteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vintilă Aluculesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Pompiliu Finteșteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Aluculesei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Vintilă Aluculesei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Finteșteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Vasiloiu in the 86th minute of play forced Icing's goalkeeper Pompiliu Finteșteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Codrin Videanu notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Icing's Pompiliu Finteșteanu. Pompiliu Finteșteanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Icing's Pompiliu Finteșteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Videanu in the 93rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Inginerul Baia Mare FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
