Codrin Videanu started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Victor Lupoaia got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Iosif Vasiloiu kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Codrin Dăscălescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alin Achiriloaie. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Vintilă Aluculesei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inginerul Baia Mare FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vintilă Aluculesei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Sălcudeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Vasiloiu in the 20th minute of play forced RADA's goalkeeper Alex Sălcudeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute Codrin Videanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Sălcudeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Doicaru kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Codrin Dăscălescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Crăcană in the 28th minute of play. Sorin Brumaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Sălcudeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Aluculesei in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Codrin Dăscălescu got control of the ball when Sorin Brumaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Lupoaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Sălcudeanu having to interfere. Fabian Iulian kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Codrin Dăscălescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Radu Dragotescu. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Corneliu Crăcană made a kick off. Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Codrin Dăscălescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Crăcană in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Inginerul Baia Mare FC defense, Avram Botea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codrin Dăscălescu. The Inginerul Baia Mare FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codrin Dăscălescu should have stopped the shot. Corneliu Crăcană received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Codrin Dăscălescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Codrin Dăscălescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Achiriloaie in the 62nd minute of play. Codrin Dăscălescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Brumaru in the 64th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Codrin Videanu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alex Sălcudeanu. That made the score 1-1 in the 69 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Codrin Videanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sorin Brumaru took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Codrin Dăscălescu. Codrin Dăscălescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Codrin Dăscălescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Doicaru in the 83rd minute of the match. Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Codrin Dăscălescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Leahu in the 84th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Alex Sălcudeanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Codrin Videanu took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Sălcudeanu. Alex Sălcudeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Codrin Videanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
