When Vintilă Aluculesei came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Inginerul Baia Mare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vintilă Aluculesei couldn't finish the play. When Alex Ababei fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pardina's protests and gave Alex Ababei a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Inginerul Baia Mare FC booed when Pardina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Ababei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pardina's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Văduvescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Dăscălescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Văduvescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Inginerul Baia Mare FC's goalkeeper Codrin Dăscălescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alex Ababei. Codrin Videanu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Robert Stoica dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Codrin Dăscălescu, 0-4. Marian Săvescu hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Vintilă Aluculesei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugur Tăbăcaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. After a rather tough play, Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Fabian Iulian got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Gabriel Văduvescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 80 minutes into the game, Ernest Cazan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pardina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inginerul Baia Mare FC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Ernest Cazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 82 played minutes, Inginerul Baia Mare FC's Victor Lupoaia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mugur Tăbăcaru came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inginerul Baia Mare FC reached it. When Olimpiu Isărescu fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inginerul Baia Mare FC's protests and gave Olimpiu Isărescu a yellow card for diving instead. Gabriel Văduvescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codrin Dăscălescu having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Gabriel Văduvescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Pardina getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alex Ababei hit a great ball. Pardina played a much better game than Inginerul Baia Mare FC and deserved their victory. The Inginerul Baia Mare FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
