Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Corneliu Crăcană started the match with the kick off. Alex Sălcudeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Achiriloaie went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind RADA's goalkeeper Alex Sălcudeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, FC Botosani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remus Zbora to maneuver through the defense. Alex Sălcudeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Sava in the 15th minute of play. When Sandu Savin fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RADA's protests and gave Sandu Savin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RADA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sandu Savin hit a great ball. Dumitru Achiriloaie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alex Sălcudeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, FC Botosani's goalkeeper Mihnea Aldea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Avram Botea. Aristide Bălașa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Sălcudeanu having to interfere. After some careless play in the RADA defense, Cristinel Sava kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Sălcudeanu. The RADA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Sălcudeanu should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute Dumitru Achiriloaie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Sălcudeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Botosani's Dumitru Achiriloaie got a free kick in the 37th minute. Alex Sălcudeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Sava in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Brumaru in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Botosani's goalkeeper Mihnea Aldea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to RADA getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alin Achiriloaie hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Alin Achiriloaie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Aldea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FC Botosani were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristinel Sava to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Botosani's zone, Sorin Brumaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Aldea came out of the goal and Sorin Brumaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Sălcudeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Sava in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Remus Zbora had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Sălcudeanu. RADA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remus Zbora was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 58 minutes, Sorin Brumaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RADA and the FC Botosani players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sorin Brumaru hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, FC Botosani's Cristinel Sava ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Sălcudeanu. Alex Sălcudeanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Remus Zbora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Botosani made a substitution. Octavian Mirciulescu replaced Aristide Bălașa. Cristinel Sava could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Alex Sălcudeanu made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristinel Sava kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alex Sălcudeanu. That made the score 0-5 in the 69 minute of play. Alex Sălcudeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Zbora in the 74th minute of play. Alex Sălcudeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Sava, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Remus Zbora took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Alex Sălcudeanu to make any attempt to save it. Cristian Dantae charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristian Dantae the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, RADA's Cristian Dantae got a free kick in the 83rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Corneliu Mihăescu put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of FC Botosani:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RADA:s goal. Mihnea Aldea went to the wrong direction when Alin Achiriloaie was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cristian Dantae was shown his second yellow card after 90 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. With a little luck, RADA's Alex Sălcudeanu got control of the ball when Cristinel Sava tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Malcocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Alex Sălcudeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avram Botea during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, RADA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avram Botea to maneuver through the defense. When Octavian Mirciulescu came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the FC Botosani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Octavian Mirciulescu couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded FC Botosani left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than RADA.
