In the 16th minute Cristinel Sava shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Braniște saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gavril Braniște showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Zbora, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Cristinel Sava took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavril Braniște. But to his dismay, Dumitru Achiriloaie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Gavril Braniște showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Achiriloaie in the 27th minute of the match. FC Botosani's Mihnea Aldea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Purcaru in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, FC Botosani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Voina to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Botosani's zone, Ionel Roşu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Aldea came out of the goal and Ionel Roşu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Achiriloaie in the 34th minute of play forced Ivancauti's goalkeeper Gavril Braniște to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivancauti's Marcel Jupâneanu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavril Braniște showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristide Bălașa, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Cristinel Sava blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavril Braniște having to make a save. Gavril Braniște took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristinel Sava, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Fabian Mereuță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivancauti's Gavril Braniște played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Zbora in the 76th minute of play. Dumitru Achiriloaie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Gavril Braniște made a huge save. Gavril Braniște showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Sava in the 85th minute of the match. Dumitru Achiriloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavril Braniște having to interfere. Ivancauti's Gavril Braniște proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Ivancauti from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute Remus Zbora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavril Braniște saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Botosani had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
