Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marius Săvescu got the match started through his kick off. When Horea Domnescu fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Herastrau's protests and gave Horea Domnescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BBI&REA booed when Herastrau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Domnescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basarab Ionete took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radu Constantin. Radu Constantin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basarab Ionete got free with Radu Constantin in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th play minute Aurelian Podgoreanu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Radu Constantin. 2-0. A collision led to Herastrau getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Remus Şteţ hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, BBI&REA's Ştefan Ailenei broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 20 minutes into the game, Herastrau's Horaţiu Zorlescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isac Săliştean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Marius Săvescu came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the BBI&REA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Săvescu couldn't finish the play. After having played for 26 minutes, Petruț Pricop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BBI&REA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petruț Pricop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Emil Almăgean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Horea Domnescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Herastrau's Horea Domnescu got a free kick in the 34th minute. 34 minutes into the match, BBI&REA's Ştefan Ailenei broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Petruț Pricop came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the BBI&REA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petruț Pricop couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Săvescu in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Constantin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horaţiu Zorlescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Basarab Ionete took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Radu Constantin. Radu Constantin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The audience was convinced that Petruț Pricop's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radu Constantin was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petruț Pricop in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Radu Constantin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Herastrau's Matei Hojbota got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Petruț Pricop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Mihuț hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, Herastrau's goal looked a bit too open when Petruț Pricop came free, but Radu Constantin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Emil Almăgean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radu Constantin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Podgoreanu in the 73rd minute of play. Marius Săvescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Radu Constantin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Herastrau getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Costică Codruț hit a great ball. Radu Constantin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Podgoreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 82 played minutes Herastrau got a freekick which was hit by Costică Codruț. Radu Constantin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelian Podgoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Herastrau defense, Basarab Ionete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radu Constantin. The Herastrau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radu Constantin should have stopped the shot. Marius Săvescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Radu Constantin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
