Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) Rareș Lupoaia's late challenge caught a Colteni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rareș Lupoaia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Colteni booed when Matau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Lupoaia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Matau's zone, Emil Vrabie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Baltian came out of the goal and Emil Vrabie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colteni's Horea Marchidan got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Codruț Beșliu came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Colteni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Codruț Beșliu couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the game, Colteni's Emil Vrabie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nechifor Baltian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Colteni's Codruț Gaiță got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horea Marchidan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nechifor Baltian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Matau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Goanță to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Codruț Beșliu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Horea Marchidan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48thth minute of the game Rareș Lupoaia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colteni's Nicu Dobre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toader Zăraşcu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Horea Marchidan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Matau's Nechifor Baltian. Nechifor Baltian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicu Dobre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toader Zăraşcu in the 61st minute of the match. Nicu Dobre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeo Irimescu in the 64th minute. Toader Zăraşcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute.
