In the 5thth minute of the game Moise Chitimia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSMS Iaşi's Petru Nandriș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leontin Condescu came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the CSMS Iaşi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Condescu couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Moise Chitimia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Petru Nandriș to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in CSMS Iaşi's zone, Aristide Bogatu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Nandriș came out of the goal and Aristide Bogatu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Petrică Brânza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSMS Iaşi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petrică Brânza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Moise Chitimia suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. FC Unirea Urziceni made a substitution. Alex Liviu replaced Moise Chitimia. 16 minutes into the game, one of CSMS Iaşi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Petru Nandriș, was totally fooled by FC Unirea Urziceni's Iosif Petrescu, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Nae Mihăescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 23 played minutes, FC Unirea Urziceni's Cornel Stoicea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Petru Nandriș came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Unirea Urziceni reached it. The supporters of CSMS Iaşi booed when FC Unirea Urziceni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Iuga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes CSMS Iaşi got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Nae. Iosif Petrescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petru Nandriș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Iuga lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Petru Nandriș.

When FC Unirea Urziceni's Alex Liviu in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CSMS Iaşi's goalie prevented a goal. Alex Liviu might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petru Nandriș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Liviu ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Alex Liviu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petru Nandriș was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 72ndth minute of the game Alex Liviu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSMS Iaşi's Petru Nandriș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th match minute, FC Unirea Urziceni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidiu Iuga to maneuver through the defense. Leontin Condescu scored 3-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolai Gørler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alex Liviu charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Liviu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Cornel Stoicea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Unirea Urziceni's Alex Liviu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. With 85 minutes on the clock, Cornel Stoicea commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 87th minute, the referee gave CSMS Iaşi a penalty. Denis Jurcuț looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Nicolai Gørler. Petru Nandriș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nae Mihăescu's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. If Ovidiu Iuga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
