Eric Simionescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Frumușanu in the 15th minute of the match. When Blue Pills's Horea Frumușanu in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Horia Astafei helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Blue Pills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Păunescu to maneuver through the defense. Emilian Oncu charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilian Oncu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, costobocii's Emilian Oncu got a free kick in the 34th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrei Blidaru during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nichifor Mumuleanu made a kick off. Luca Bărcăuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luca Bărcăuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Luca Bărcăuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dragoş Gliga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Mumuleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Horea Frumușanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but costobocii's Eric Simionescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alin Teişanu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 68 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the game, one of costobocii:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 75 minutes, Luca Bărcăuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. costobocii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Bărcăuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Horea Frumușanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eric Simionescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Drâmba in the 82nd minute of play forced costobocii's goalkeeper Eric Simionescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blue Pills's Mircea Drâmba got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, costobocii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Nichitelea to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, one of costobocii:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for costobocii. costobocii:s Eric Simionescu showed great skill when he stopped Horea Frumușanu:s penalty. Eric Simionescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horea Frumușanu went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Blue Pills's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
