The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Blue Pills's Horea Frumușanu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Ciprian Cojan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 13 minutes into the match, Blue Pills's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Zafiu came free, but Dragoş Gliga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dragoş Gliga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Purcărete in the 16th minute of the match. Dragoş Gliga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Andreescu in the 18th minute of play. Dragoş Gliga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Purcărete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nistor Zafiu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F C Olt's protests and gave Nistor Zafiu a yellow card for diving instead. When Dan Potoroacă fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blue Pills's protests and gave Dan Potoroacă a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Blue Pills getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dan Potoroacă hit a great ball. After 39 minutes, Leonard Buciuman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blue Pills and the F C Olt players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonard Buciuman kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. A hard shot 41 in the game by Olimpiu Opaina from a close distance when the talented Dragoş Gliga managed to make a qualified save. Blue Pills's players were relieved. In the 42nd minute Nistor Andriescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciprian Cojan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciprian Cojan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Frumușanu in the 44th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

In the 86th minute, one of Blue Pills:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Blue Pills. Dan Potoroacă hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Leonard Buciuman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Mircea Drâmba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciprian Cojan. That made the score 2-4 in the 98 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Blue Pills had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
