A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Marius Măgură hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Mircea Chelaru in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Fanaticii's Adrian Jitaru. After a defensive mix-up in CSMS Iaşi's zone, Marius Măgură stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petru Nandriș came out of the goal and Marius Măgură tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Narcis Nae fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSMS Iaşi's protests and gave Narcis Nae a yellow card for diving instead. Petru Nandriș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelian Enișteanu in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, FC Fanaticii's Marius Măgură made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petru Nandriș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcel Păunescu's late challenge caught a FC Fanaticii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcel Păunescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, CSMS Iaşi's Marcel Păunescu got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Măgură in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petru Nandriș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petru Nandriș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marius Măgură's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Petru Nandriș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Jitaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petrică Brânza to make the kick off. Mircea Chelaru got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marcel Păunescu. Marius Măgură blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Petru Nandriș having to make a save. CSMS Iaşi's Petru Nandriș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save CSMS Iaşi from getting a goal against them. In the 81stth minute of the game Adrian Jitaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSMS Iaşi's Petru Nandriș was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petru Nandriș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the match, CSMS Iaşi's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Jitaru came free, but Petru Nandriș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The CSMS Iaşi manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC Fanaticii to win.
