Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Real Bucharest's Marin Nițoi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Marin Nițoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Domnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciughes's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugen Tudoran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Popa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Real Bucharest's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Sfârlea came free, but Marius Popa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eugen Tudoran came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Ciughes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugen Tudoran couldn't finish the play. The Ciughes fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Ciughes's Eugen Tudoran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugen Tudoran kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marius Popa. That made the score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Real Bucharest's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Tudoran came free, but Marius Popa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Bucharest's Alexandru Stoian got a free kick in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugen Tudoran to make the kick off. Marius Popa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Antipa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 53 minutes, Eugen Tudoran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciughes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Tudoran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marius Popa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihai Sfârlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ernest Antipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Real Bucharest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marius Popa should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ciughes getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Nichifor Maghear hit a great ball. Dorin Bulă took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilie Domnescu. Ciughes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marius Popa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Tudoran, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After 78 minutes of play, Ciughes's Eugen Tudoran made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marius Popa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marius Popa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugen Tudoran's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After 93rd play minutes Eugen Tudoran shot 8-1, a short shot which went by Marius Popa and just under the crossbar into goal. Ciughes walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
