After 3 minutes of play, Ciughes's Eugen Tudoran made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidiu Bungescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ovidiu Bungescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugen Tudoran in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, OLD SCHOOL's Nicodim Mărculescu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilie Domnescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dumitru Boeru struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Ilie Domnescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OLD SCHOOL. In the 14th minute Nicodim Mărculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Domnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of OLD SCHOOL booed when Ciughes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudor Prezan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes Ciughes got a freekick which was hit by Eugen Tudoran. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Horea Demian took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ilie Domnescu to make any attempt to save it. OLD SCHOOL's Nicodim Mărculescu got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nicodim Mărculescu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OLD SCHOOL's protests and gave Nicodim Mărculescu a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidiu Bungescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliodor Neaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilie Domnescu made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Nicodim Mărculescu sent off a good shot on target. During the 39th minute of the match Nicodim Mărculescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicodim Mărculescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Adam Roşoga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Domnescu having to interfere. Alin Covaliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Tudoran in the 55th minute of play forced OLD SCHOOL's goalkeeper Ovidiu Bungescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eliodor Neaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Eugen Tudoran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciughes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Tudoran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 minutes, Codruț Vornicu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the OLD SCHOOL and the Ciughes players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th match minute, OLD SCHOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Vornicu to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Eugen Tudoran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Bungescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. After 86 played minutes Ciughes got a freekick which was hit by Ionică Feteanu. After having played for 88 minutes, Dumitru Boeru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OLD SCHOOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Boeru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Dumitru Boeru notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Ciughes's Ilie Domnescu. Ilie Domnescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
