Filip Zamfirescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Corneliu Boerescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tiberiu Hrușcă kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Filip Zamfirescu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Corneliu Boerescu to make any attempt to save it. 33 minutes into the game, Manuel Horațiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leonard Mineață was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Portaresti FC's Mugur Mărăscu got a free kick in the 35th minute. Lindenfeld's Robert Grigoroiu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Robert Grigoroiu came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Lindenfeld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Grigoroiu couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Lindenfeld's Filip Zamfirescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Corneliu Boerescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Portaresti FC's Corneliu Boerescu got control of the ball when Robert Grigoroiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filip Zamfirescu was the one to do the kick off. Manuel Horațiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Leonard Mineață tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduard Elisei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ionică Manta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Corneliu Boerescu. Portaresti FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Lindenfeld's Robert Grigoroiu in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portaresti FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Portaresti FC's zone, Filip Zamfirescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Boerescu came out of the goal and Filip Zamfirescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filip Zamfirescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Corneliu Boerescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corneliu Boerescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Zamfirescu in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Eduard Elisei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Portaresti FC's Corneliu Boerescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Caba in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Lindenfeld's Filip Zamfirescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corneliu Boerescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
