Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) TNL Sector 3's Sabin Inculeț started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Gigi Nae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Purcărete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valeriu Movileanu fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TNL Sector 3's protests and gave Valeriu Movileanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes TNL Sector 3 got a freekick which was hit by Valeriu Movileanu. Gigi Nae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, TNL Sector 3's goal looked a bit too open when Gigi Nae came free, but Petre Purcărete reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petre Purcărete took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Geantă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gigi Nae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gigi Nae might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petre Purcărete. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gigi Nae ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, TNL Sector 3's Valer Ficsinescu got a free kick in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gigi Nae managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Gigi Nae was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Purcărete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Geantă in the 19th minute of play forced TNL Sector 3's goalkeeper Petre Purcărete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Toader Geantă got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute Toader Geantă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Purcărete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gigi Nae came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the F.C Rapid Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gigi Nae couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Duțulescu came free, but Panait Iorgu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petre Purcărete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Nae in the 42nd minute of play. Toader Geantă charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toader Geantă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toader Geantă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of F.C Rapid Bucuresti booed when TNL Sector 3 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Ficsinescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horia Crețulescu hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Sever Enachescu was substituted for Gigi Nae. The supporters of TNL Sector 3 booed when F.C Rapid Bucuresti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Crețulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sever Enachescu came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the F.C Rapid Bucuresti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sever Enachescu couldn't finish the play. F.C Rapid Bucuresti's Panait Iorgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Inculeț in the 71st minute of play. Valeriu Movileanu tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Petre Purcărete. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-4 in the 73rd minute. F.C Rapid Bucuresti made a substitution. Marius Spiridon replaced Petru Voineag. Panait Iorgu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Ivănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the match, F.C Rapid Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Inculeț came free, but Panait Iorgu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucian Niță helped the player get up and apologised. Lucian Niță kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. TNL Sector 3's Niculae Radu got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. F.C Rapid Bucuresti had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
