Mihăiţă Leahu's late challenge caught a OLD SCHOOL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihăiţă Leahu helped the player get up and apologised. Mihăiţă Leahu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ovidiu Bungescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Ivănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 24 minutes of play, OLD SCHOOL's Dumitru Boeru made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petre Purcărete was left in no man's land by his defense there! Costică Ivănescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Bungescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Costică Ivănescu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute of the match Valeriu Movileanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Bungescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Petre Purcărete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alin Covaliu in the 44th minute of the match. Petre Purcărete stood somewhat misplaced when Nicodim Mărculescu came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 47 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicodim Mărculescu to make the kick off. Grigore Bianu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Nicodim Mărculescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. In the 75th minute Nicodim Mărculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petre Purcărete saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Dumitru Boeru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Nicodim Mărculescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in TNL Sector 3's zone, Horea Demian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Purcărete came out of the goal and Horea Demian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
