Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Girleasa CSM's Cristinel Ponor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mugurel Crăcană recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristinel Ponor might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liviu Gâgea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristinel Ponor ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cristinel Ponor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrei Roman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Măcriș in the 17th minute of the match. Girleasa CSM's Andrei Roman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Stoicănescu in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Sabin Măcriș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girleasa CSM's Andrei Roman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samsud's Liviu Gâgea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Samsud from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the game, one of Girleasa CSM:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Andrei Roman had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Petre Stoicănescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 29 minutes of play, Samsud's Petre Stoicănescu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrei Roman was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Girleasa CSM's Cristinel Ponor in 34 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Liviu Gâgea guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Mugurel Crăcană sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Mugurel Crăcană was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Girleasa CSM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samsud the free kick. After 46 played minutes Girleasa CSM got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Crăcană. After the first half Samsud were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sabin Măcriș was the one to do the kick off. Iurie Căliman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Andrei Roman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 63 minutes into the game, Petre Stoicănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Andrei Roman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. During the 65th minute of the match Mugurel Crăcană completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mugurel Crăcană a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Girleasa CSM getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mugurel Crăcană hit a great ball. Cristinel Ponor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Liviu Gâgea having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Măcriș in the 70th minute of play forced Girleasa CSM's goalkeeper Andrei Roman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Petre Stoicănescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Samsud fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Andrei Roman didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-6.
