David Encea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Zburlea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Gigel Pârvan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Muscă in the 41st minute of the match. Ungureni CF's Gigel Pârvan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Chiriță in the 43rd minute of play. Dinu Dănciulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The supporters of Timisoara 1921 booed when Ungureni CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Encea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Dinu Albu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gigel Pârvan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Dinu Gherdan fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ungureni CF's protests and gave Dinu Gherdan a yellow card for diving instead. Dinu Gherdan kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Chiriță in the 65th minute of play forced Ungureni CF's goalkeeper Gigel Pârvan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timisoara 1921's Codrin Zburlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Gherdan in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Timisoara 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Vornicu came free, but Codrin Zburlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Timisoara 1921's Dinu Dănciulescu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dinu Dănciulescu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Timisoara 1921 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dinu Dănciulescu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Valentin Chiriță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gigel Pârvan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Costel Muscă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinu Gherdan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Codrin Zburlea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinu Gherdan scored 4-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Codrin Zburlea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Codrin Zburlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Vornicu in the 97th minute of the match. Ungureni CF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
