The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Codrin Zburlea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albert Spelbu went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Albert Spelbu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Codrin Zburlea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Timisoara 1921 got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Dănciulescu. Codrin Zburlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Poplăcan in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee ignored Timisoara 1921's protests and gave Costel Muscă a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Timisoara 1921 getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Albert Spelbu scored 0-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Codrin Zburlea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Horea Poplăcan took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Codrin Zburlea. Manole Vulturar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Chiriță in the 76th minute of play. Horea Poplăcan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. BlackKnights's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
