Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Adrian Nicolae got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sant-PN's goalkeeper Eduard Crăcană, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Sant-PN's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Maior came free, but Eduard Crăcană reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Dan Arhenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Crăcană saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sant-PN's Eduard Crăcană played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Nicolae in the 10th minute of play. Eduard Crăcană came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Viespesti's Dan Arhenius. But to his dismay, Dan Arhenius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Viespesti's goalkeeper Petruț Omescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Muntean. With a little luck, Viespesti's Petruț Omescu got control of the ball when Gigel Muntean tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Niculae Maior made a precise shot to the right of Eduard Crăcană. Sant-PN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Nicolae in the 23rd minute of play forced Sant-PN's goalkeeper Eduard Crăcană to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gigel Muntean during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Viespesti booed when Sant-PN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Muntean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduard Crăcană made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Nicolae in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Bocu in the 32nd minute of play forced Viespesti's goalkeeper Petruț Omescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigel Muntean got free with Petruț Omescu in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Viespesti's Adrian Nicolae in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sant-PN's goalie prevented a goal. In the 40th match minute, Sant-PN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petre Dabija to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Ioan Pavelescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petruț Omescu. Ioan Pavelescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Eric Iuzbașa kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Sant-PN players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Viespesti were winning 1-2.

In the 54th minute, Adrian Nicolae hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Crăcană took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Nicolae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sant-PN booed when Viespesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Pascu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes Viespesti got a freekick which was hit by Dan Arhenius. Eduard Crăcană was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adrian Nicolae showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 69 minute of play. Eduard Crăcană made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Ivasiuc in the 73rd minute of play. Eduard Crăcană made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Dan Arhenius sent off a good shot on target. Eduard Crăcană took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Nicolae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Viespesti's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Stolojan came free, but Petruț Omescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Sant-PN got a corner. Viespesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ioan Pavelescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Egil Dahlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Sant-PN got a freekick which was hit by Ioan Pavelescu. Remus Stolojan kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Gigel Muntean kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Sant-PN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Viespesti's performance. The match ended with a win for Viespesti.
