After 14 played minutes Greoni got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Turcescu. In the 15th minute, Niculae Borogeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moise Arseanu was a little too slow when Emanuel Prezan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-2. Moise Arseanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Macarie in the 23rd minute of play. Iordache Josan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Borogeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Damian Sfetcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petruț Jupân fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Josan having to interfere. SKY BLUE's Marius Nișu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sergiu Bălace in the 32 minute of the game. A collision led to SKY BLUE getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Marius Nișu hit a great ball. If Emanuel Prezan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Niculae Borogeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iordache Josan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, SKY BLUE's Niculae Borogeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iordache Josan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.

Iordache Josan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Niculae Borogeanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 80 minute of play. Niculae Borogeanu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Iordache Josan firmly grabbed it by the left post.
