Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Eric Bulzan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Onișoru. FC Dreain Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Bulzan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leontin Liciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciprian Zăvoianu having to interfere. Ciprian Zăvoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Zbârciog in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cotofene's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Irinel Zbârciog was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Dreain Timisoara's players had a chance to rest. Cotofene's Ciprian Zăvoianu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Cotofene from getting a goal against them. Leontin Liciu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Onișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Grămescu in the 27th minute of play. Ciprian Zăvoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Zbârciog in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cotofene's Cezar Zdrăilă got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32ndth minute of the game Irinel Zbârciog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cotofene's Ciprian Zăvoianu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Onișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Grămescu in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Leontin Liciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dreain Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leontin Liciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marian Tănăsescu during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Dreain Timisoara's Marian Tănăsescu got a free kick in the 41st minute. Leontin Liciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. In the 56th match minute, Cotofene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Rizescu to maneuver through the defense. After 59 minutes, Irinel Zbârciog made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cotofene's Ciprian Zăvoianu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Liciu in the 64th minute of play forced Cotofene's goalkeeper Ciprian Zăvoianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Dreain Timisoara were furious when Marian Tănăsescu was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gică Grămescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Victor Onișoru made a huge save. In the 80th minute Cezar Zdrăilă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciprian Zăvoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Liciu in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Traian Căliman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
