Spectators: 7783 (Terracing: 5838, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 155) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Niccolo Ciobica started the match with the kick off. With 5 minutes on the clock, Virgil Panaitoiu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 4 minutes into the game, one of Podenii:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ion Gogu had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Traian Băsescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ion Gogu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicuşor Ceaușescu in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Nicuşor Ceaușescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ion Gogu. Podenii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicuşor Ceaușescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Ion Gogu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Traian Băsescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ion Gogu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Hrandabur in the 36th minute of play. Ion Gogu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Traian Băsescu in the 40th minute of the match. Emil Hrandabur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Gogu having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Traian Băsescu made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Podenii's goal looked a bit too open when Nicuşor Ceaușescu came free, but Ion Gogu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ion Gogu had great luck who in the 59thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nicuşor Ceaușescu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 61st minute, Traian Băsescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KILLER BEES CJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 65 minutes into the match, Podenii's goalkeeper Ion Gogu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Băsescu. Podenii's Ion Gogu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicuşor Ceaușescu in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Traian Băsescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ion Gogu. Traian Băsescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Podenii's Ion Gogu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Podenii from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicuşor Ceaușescu got free with Ion Gogu in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Podenii's Ion Gogu got control of the ball when Emil Hrandabur tried to sneak it across the goal line. KILLER BEES CJ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
