After a defensive mix-up in Chisinau CC's zone, Moise Şiman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Hârciog came out of the goal and Moise Şiman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sever Râznicu in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costin Hârciog saved Chisinau CC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sever Râznicu in the 16th minute of play forced Chisinau CC's goalkeeper Costin Hârciog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Alin Eniceicu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Costin Hârciog skillfully saved the ball. Romeo Mavrodin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Jușcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeo Mavrodin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Jușcă in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horea Corvin got free with Romeo Mavrodin in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Sever Râznicu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Costin Hârciog was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Romeo Mavrodin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Orășan in the 39th minute of play. After 40 played minutes C.F. Arthur got a freekick which was hit by Traian Ghețea. In the 45th minute, Moise Şiman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Costin Hârciog was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Orășan to make the kick off. Costin Hârciog stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sever Râznicu's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. C.F. Arthur's Romeo Mavrodin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Corvin in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Chisinau CC's Horea Corvin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Mavrodin was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Moise Şiman got free with Costin Hârciog in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moise Şiman had several of the Chisinau CC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Costin Hârciog as he didn't even see the shot coming. 73 minutes into the game, Flavius Chioreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chisinau CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.F. Arthur the free kick. After 73 played minutes Chisinau CC got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Chioreanu. Chisinau CC's Albert Orășan got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moise Şiman took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Costin Hârciog. Costin Hârciog dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Moise Şiman might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Costin Hârciog. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Şiman ran back to his position shaking his head. Costin Hârciog made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Moise Şiman sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute of the match Narcis Bârza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Mavrodin skillfully saved the ball. Romeo Mavrodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Orășan in the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C.F. Arthur walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
