Stelian Antonescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some careless play in the FC TIM-TIM defense, Gigi Barbăneagră kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stelian Antonescu. The FC TIM-TIM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stelian Antonescu should have stopped the shot. When Podenii's Gigi Barbăneagră in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The corner ended in Sergiu Dobrinescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Podenii's Ion Gogu did a great save. Stelian Antonescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andrei Grozuță showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 95 minute of play. Podenii played a much better game than FC TIM-TIM and deserved their victory. The FC TIM-TIM players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
