The supporters of F.C.Progresul Timisoara booed when Chisinau CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Jușcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes F.C.Progresul Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Panait Maniu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Orășan in the 15th minute of play forced F.C.Progresul Timisoara's goalkeeper Remus Trăistaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panait Maniu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Chisinau CC's Narcis Bârza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Remus Trăistaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Corvin in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Stere in the 25th minute of play forced F.C.Progresul Timisoara's goalkeeper Remus Trăistaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Chisinau CC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Iurie Roşca hit a great ball. Horea Corvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Trăistaru having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Flavius Chioreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chisinau CC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavius Chioreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remus Trăistaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The F.C.Progresul Timisoara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chisinau CC were winning 1-2.

Remus Trăistaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Orășan in the 53rd minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, F.C.Progresul Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Orășan came free, but Remus Trăistaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costin Hârciog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Cudalb in the 96th minute of play. Tiberiu Râznicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
