Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cristian Fenici kicked off to start the match. A collision led to UNITED GALATI getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Avram Hrebenciuc hit a great ball. Parnesti's Ioan Rioşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Buricea in the 5th minute of play. After some careless play in the Parnesti defense, Cristian Fenici kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ioan Rioşanu. The Parnesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ioan Rioşanu should have stopped the shot. Șerban Velicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Codrin Zbuchea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Parnesti's Șerban Velicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cazimir Rareș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ioan Rioşanu came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by UNITED GALATI's Stelian Buricea. But to his dismay, Stelian Buricea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Stelian Buricea notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Parnesti's Ioan Rioşanu. Ioan Rioşanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cristian Ciutacu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Șerban Velicu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Șerban Velicu was the one to do the kick off. Valeriu Jecu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Ioan Rioşanu managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when UNITED GALATI's Stelian Buricea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristian Fenici's late challenge caught a Parnesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Fenici helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 played minutes UNITED GALATI got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Fenici. If Cristian Ciutacu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ioan Rioşanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Uncuţă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Stelian Buricea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ioan Rioşanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Șerban Velicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parnesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Șerban Velicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cazimir Rareș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Ciutacu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, UNITED GALATI's Isac Drumeș got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ioan Rioşanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stelian Buricea in the 87th minute. Ioan Rioşanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Fenici in the 89th minute of the match. Stelian Buricea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Rioşanu having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Cristian Ciutacu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cazimir Rareș was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. The Parnesti supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching UNITED GALATI's performance. The match ended with a win for UNITED GALATI.
