After a defensive mix-up in Catalu's zone, Basarab Panaitescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Boboc came out of the goal and Basarab Panaitescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, -MXM-'s Ilie Dumitrescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 28 minutes into the match, Ilie Dumitrescu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Liviu Boboc, 4-0. In the 31st minute, Petruț Florean made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Boboc. Catalu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 34th minute, Petruț Florean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee showed Octavian Zafiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Catalu getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. The wind increased when Octavian Zafiu made the kick off in the second half. Liviu Boboc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilie Dumitrescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Liviu Boboc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Florean in the 59th minute of play. Mihăiţă Liviu struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Niculae Bobocea managed to get in a good position for a shot. -MXM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Niculae Bobocea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liviu Boboc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niculae Bobocea struck a weak shot in the 67th minute.
