Ioan Stratulat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maghear in the 46th minute of play forced Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Ioan Stratulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cazimir Zglimbea to make the kick off. If Ion Traian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damian Maghear struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ioan Stratulat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dinamo Triaj. With his leg Ioan Stratulat managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Dinamo Triaj's Efrain Joseph fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ioan Stratulat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Maghear, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Avram Săliştean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Avram Săliştean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ioan Stratulat having to interfere. Avram Săliştean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cazimir Zglimbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alens Becker having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Ioan Stratulat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Avram Săliştean. The supporters of Dinamo Triaj booed when Delta Tulcea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gelu Grama didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Efrain Joseph had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ioan Stratulat. Delta Tulcea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Joseph was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Dinamo Triaj left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Delta Tulcea.
