Catalu's Constantin Dobrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Maghear in the 15th minute of play. When Ion Traian fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dinamo Triaj's protests and gave Ion Traian a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dinamo Triaj getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ion Traian hit a great ball. Toader Turbatu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Alens Becker made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Aurelian Chinezu sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Catalu were awarded a corner. Dorin Cristian went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tiberiu Valeca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dinamo Triaj's Alens Becker did a great save. When Niculae Isvoreanu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dinamo Triaj's protests and gave Niculae Isvoreanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, one of Dinamo Triaj:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dinamo Triaj. Catalu's Constantin Dobrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Joseph in the 33rd minute of play. Ion Traian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Constantin Dobrin having to make a save. Constantin Dobrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ion Traian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Maghear in the 36th minute of play forced Catalu's goalkeeper Constantin Dobrin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Cristian hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Efrain Joseph received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Constantin Dobrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Catalu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Damian Maghear scored to the left of an out of position Constantin Dobrin, making the score, 1-3. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Avram Săliştean took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Constantin Dobrin to make any attempt to save it. Catalu's Constantin Dobrin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Stroe in the 59th minute of play. Damian Maghear fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Dobrin having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Efrain Joseph had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantin Dobrin. Catalu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Joseph was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. 70 minutes into the game, Ion Traian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Constantin Dobrin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Toader Turbatu took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alens Becker. Alens Becker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. In the 91st minute, Ion Traian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dinamo Triaj's Niculae Stroe got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Niculae Isvoreanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Dinamo Triaj could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Catalu throughout the match.
