The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilian Ţugui during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emilian Ţugui kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A hard shot by Gigi Ardeleanu from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Ioan Stratulat's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 7th play minute Eduard Zgondea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ioan Stratulat. 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Delta Tulcea's goalkeeper Ioan Stratulat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduard Zgondea. Eduard Zgondea took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Stratulat. Ioan Stratulat dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Eduard Zgondeas short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Ioan Stratulat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ioan Stratulat made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Eduard Zgondea sent off a good shot on target. FC Berea's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Călin Onuț in the 21st minute. A nice corner shot did that Louis Munteanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ioan Stratulat quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 28th minute, Cazimir Zglimbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Călin Onuț in the 29th minute really tested Ioan Stratulat's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Corneliu Nae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Mârzac having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Delta Tulcea's Ioan Stratulat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederic Burg in the 55th minute of play. Frederic Burg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Eduard Zgondea made a precise shot to the right of Ioan Stratulat. Delta Tulcea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilian Ţugui got free with Aristide Mârzac in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Lion Ernst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Delta Tulcea getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Petrică Ailenei hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Delta Tulcea's Cazimir Zglimbea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aristide Mârzac. That made the score 4-1 after 93 minutes of play. If Frederic Burg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Berea had played much better football throughout.
