Sorin Timofte made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 47thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Iustin Erbașu would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aurel Cotuțiu made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sorin Timofte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The UMF IASI fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when UMF IASI's Sorin Timofte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. UMF IASI's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
