Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Poetas's Aurel Pârvuță started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iustin Erbașu came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Poetas's Aurel Pârvuță. But to his dismay, Aurel Pârvuță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A hard shot 6 in the game by Aurel Pârvuță from a close distance when the talented Iustin Erbașu managed to make a qualified save. Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's players were relieved. When Poetas's Aurel Pârvuță in 7 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Iustin Erbașu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Iustin Erbașu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Bobeica in the 13th minute of play. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Aurel Pârvuță sped through Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iustin Erbașu. Marcel Costeiantu scored 2-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristinel Șeitan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristinel Șeitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Costeiantu in the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Ciorbea during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Poetas's Codrin Ciorbea got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Poetas's zone, Cezar Baldovin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristinel Șeitan came out of the goal and Cezar Baldovin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Iustin Erbașu managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Poetas's Aurel Pârvuță fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eliodor Magheru struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Iustin Erbașu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poetas. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cezar Baldovin made a kick off. Aurel Pârvuță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iustin Erbașu having to interfere. After 61st play minutes Aurel Pârvuță shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Iustin Erbașu and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Poetas getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eliodor Magheru hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezar Baldovin in the 72nd minute of play forced Poetas's goalkeeper Cristinel Șeitan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's Horia Buhuș got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 80th minute Aurel Pârvuță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustin Erbașu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Horia Buhuș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poetas the free kick. A collision led to Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Horia Buhuș hit a great ball. Aurel Pârvuță kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Poetas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
